Bluegrass Community Hospital welcomes new cardiology provider, Sarah Bond, AG-ACNP-BC

VERSAILLES, Ky. (March 11, 2024) – Central Kentucky Heart Care is pleased to welcome Sarah Bond, AG-ACNP-BC, to the medical staff of Bluegrass Community Hospital (BGCH) in Versailles. Sarah brings extensive expertise and a strong commitment to cardiovascular health to the community. Sarah will work in collaboration with cardiologist, Dr. Joe Thomas.
Sarah Bond is providing full-time cardiology coverage for Bluegrass Community Hospital and is committed to each cardiac patient. “I grew up in a rural Kentucky community so providing care in a small town has always been a dream of mine,” says Sarah. “After practicing for years in Lexington, it is nice to bring my expertise to this community. From volunteering at the free community CPR event, to judging our heart health community art show with Woodford County High School, I have been getting to know the hearts of Woodford County.”
Sarah Bond, AG-ACNP-BC, joins the team after years of experience of both training and teaching in the area. Sarah graduated with her Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. She has experience as an acute care nurse practitioner that managed care for advanced heart failure patients. Sarah also has been an assistant professor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College for the past five years.
“Sarah has been a tremendous asset to our medical staff at Bluegrass Community Hospital,” says David Steitz, Chief Executive Officer at BGCH. “Not only has she integrated well in her clinic and outpatient services, but she also has built great repour with our other providers and nurses on the inpatient units”.
