Bluegrass Community Hospital kicks off American Heart Month by expanding cardiology services to Lawrenceburg, KY

VERSAILLES, Ky. (February 6, 2025) – Bluegrass Community is proud to announce that Sarah Bond, AG-ACNP-BC, will now be offering cardiology clinic services in Anderson County. As heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death in the United States, BGCH and Lawrenceburg Family Practice understand the importance of offering cardiology care, close to home.
“Adding cardiology to Lawrenceburg Family Practice is a great way to kickstart American Heart Month,” says David Steitz, Chief Executive Officer at BGCH. “Our mission at Bluegrass Community Hospital is making communities healthier® and we’re excited to now expand heart care for patients in Anderson County.”
Sarah Bond, AG-ACNP-BC graduated with her Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. She has experience as an acute care nurse practitioner that managed care for advanced heart failure patients. Sarah also has been an assistant professor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College for the past five years.

“I grew up in a rural Kentucky community, so serving small towns has always been a passion of mine,” said Bond. “After practicing for years in Lexington, it has been extremely rewarding practicing in Woodford County for the past year. I now look forward to getting to know the hearts of the Lawrenceburg community!”
