Ribbon Cutting held at Bluegrass Community Hospital for the expansion of Interventional Pain Management Services
August 3, 2021
Bluegrass Community Hospital partnered with the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of pain management and treatment services. The expansion comes after the growth and demand for Dr. Vinod Muniswamy and the services offered at the Central Kentucky Interventional Pain Management Center.
“We are excited about our new location in Versailles and the opportunity to help more Kentuckians struggling with chronic pain,” said Dr. Muniswamy. “Our treatments can make a huge difference in their daily lives”
Interventional pain management is designed for people experiencing chronic pain for three to six months or longer to treat a variety of acute, chronic, cancer-related and post-operative pain. A comprehensive review of symptoms and medical history is completed before creating a customized treatment plan. Treatment methods include injections, spinal stimulation, nerve blockers, pain pumps and physical therapy.
Woodford County Chamber President Emily Downey opened the ceremony with her excitement for another growing business in Woodford County. David Steitz, Chief Executive Officer at Bluegrass Community Hospital, thanked attendees for their support of the clinic office. During the ceremony, guests were able to hear from local officials Mayor Brian Traugott of Versailles, Mayor Grayson Vandegrift of Midway and James Kay, Woodford County Judge Executive. The elected leaders expressed their gratitude for not only the success of another business in Woodford County, but an alternative for opioids in order to deal with chronic pain.
Dr. Muniswamy introduced new team member Daniel Baker, PA-C. Baker will be based out of the Versailles office and says that he excited to me a part of the community. The team can treat a wide variety of conditions such as nerve damage, muscle spasms, neck and back pain, arthritis pain, headaches and migraines, cancer pain, leg pain and more.
