Versailles Internal Medicine Opens; Expands Primary Care Access for Woodford County

VERSAILLES, Ky. (May 28, 2024) – Bluegrass Community Hospital and Bluegrass Medical Group, is proud to announce the opening of Versailles Internal Medicine, a new primary care clinic designed for patients ages 18 and up. The opening of this new practice shows the commitment of the facility’s growing range of services. 

“We are proud to expand primary care services for Woodford Countians,” says David Steitz, chief executive officer at Bluegrass Community Hospital. “This is a much-needed service for the communities we serve and we’re proud to open with an experienced provider that has over 25 years of experience in adult primary care. We have shifted some of our office locations around to accommodate this new practice, so it has convenient front door parking and wheelchair accessibility.”

Versailles Internal Medicine is led by Emily Spencer, PA-C. Emily comes to Versailles after over two decades of experience practicing internal medicine in Frankfort, Kentucky. She will have clinical oversight by Dr. Joel Knight of Georgetown and is eager to continue serving the people of the Bluegrass region.

“In Versailles, I will continue to provide continuity of care for my patients,” says Emily Spencer, PA-C. “I will now have very easy access to send patients to a full-service imaging center that offers 3D-mammography, CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, MRI and more. In addition, my new clinic is located near a well-known orthopedic practice, as well as a physical therapy center.”

The practice will specialize in medication management, wellness exams, physicals, preventive medicine, immunizations and more.
